Fans of all kinds showed up by the droves for a good ol’ fashioned fist pumping head banging rock n roll show - and it was everything you'd expect. Patricks loud unapologetic drums and Dan’s shredding guitar filled the arena for three and a half hours of pure high voltage magic. After returning from a five-year hiatus, The Black Keys are back and ready to rock.

Patrick proudly sits behind his colorful plexiglass drum kit, as close to the edge of the stage as a drummer can be. To his left is his longtime friend Dan on guitar and vocals. Two additional guitarists and bass backing the duo provided thick deep tones that were impossible not to rock out to. Dan's unique vocal style pierced the sound like a hot knife on butter, filling out their their very familiar sound.

Beginning their set with “I Got Mine” primed up the fans for what was about to be a very powerful show. Fans heard everything from “Gold On The Ceiling” and “Howlin’ for You” to “10 A.M. Automatic” and “Tighten Up”.

Psychedelic visuals complimented the “basement music”, as Dan so appropriately puts it. Blinding spotlights lit up the Amway Center only to reveal an area full of fans up on their feet yelling the lyrics right to the stage at the top of their lungs. It was clear that many fans in this arena have been dedicated to the duo since their humble beginnings.

Fans screamed and pointed their cell phone lights to the dark stage demanding an encore. The arena was so bright you'd almost think someone turned on the lights. After several moments of the crowd tension building, the duo took the stage one last time. With every fan on their feet, this party was far from over. The electric sounds of “Hi/Lo” filled the air, sending shockwaves through the crowd. As the show came to a close, the duo ended the night with “She’s Long Gone”.
